All Set for Easter Brunch

The sparkling glass clearly invites everyone to the table.

(I hope the food I make, keeps ‘em there… )

Earlier this week I showed you this Spring/Easter Centerpiece, now, I’ll share with you our dining table that is ready to gather around for Easter brunch.

(You can click here: to see more about the stepback cupboard corner you see in the background, and find out what’s sitting on top of it.)

The vintage china was a wedding gift to my parents, so it’s always a fun treat for us to have an occasion to use it. It works really well with this vintage flatware I bought at a tag sale a few years ago. (This is the same flatware I used with the Christmas tablescape.)

By adding the light green placemats under the open weave natural fiber ones, it creates a more ‘spring’ feel to the table. I like how the natural fiber ones interpret the nests that are scattered about on the table.

I love to decorate the Easter table with signs of new life, such as these nests. To me, it’s a reminder of the new life we can have in Christ.

(You can click here: to see more about the antique black plate cupboard you see in the background to find out a little of the history of how it was practically junk, and got a breath of new life.)

My little granddaughter created place cards by decorating the glitter eggs with decorative paper strips she taped around each egg. She then added stickers with the center sticker being the initial of each person’s first name. We then added a little pink and natural colored excelsior to the grapevine ‘nests’ we bought at Michael’s to nestle her egg masterpieces in.

These white glass dishes were my mom’s. I remember eating fruit from them on special occasions when I was a little girl. They will be perfect for the same use again. The light white color gives a splash of ‘fresh’ to the tablescape.

I’m so thankful to have friends and family to share times like this with, as we celebrate the gift of salvation God offers to each of us.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
