We have a quite a bit of landscaping at ‘Our House‘, now that the snow has melted, we’re finally celebrating the weather this last week, it’s been a gorgeous mid 60’s and 70’s! Yay!! Last weekend we got 6″ of snow!! I’m not kidding! It’s been a long winter and days like this last weekend are days to celebrate for sure…
All us ‘Northern Wisconsinites’ crawl out of our houses, like bears just waking up from hibernation, rub our eyes, and then do a little ‘jig’ in the lawn when we realize we’re not going to get frostbit or need to snowblow the driveway before we can leave.
Instead, we run to the barn,
push aside the shovels and snowblowers to look for gardening supplies hoping there is something we can do outside, but in reality, the ground is frozen 6″ below the top for a few more weeks, so we’re limited to picking up branches, cutting off last years foliage from the perennials, and one more thing… click here to read the rest of the story…

The exterior of ‘Our House’ really needed a fresh coat of paint, (it’s cedar lap siding) and I decided to change the color from green to blue… but when we bought the house 16 years ago, it was stained gray, let me show you:

Our House… Adding a Little Height to Plants

The front of ‘Our House’ has a very symmetrical looking face, with a chimney perfectly in the center and two tall windows flanking each side of that chimney.
